Location[]
Central Kerecha, on the eastern coast of the island.
Noteable Trivia[]
- Rogesash is located where the first city of Kerecha was founded. As Kerecha expanded to become its own country, the city was made into the capital. It was built to withstand sieges by Cadian forces from sea and from land. There are special safety measures in place for magic users, in the event that the city becomes overrun.
- It is the center for resistance against Cadia and Arsanaig’s laws against the study of technology and the restriction of rights for magic users, and Neian’s refusal to intervene. They are most frequently in conflict with Cadia, due to its larger forces.
- The city is community run, due to it being such a small population. With the city growing, the government in Cadia claims that this approach will break down when too many people want their opinions heard. Kerecha has yet to respond to this claim.
- It is considered quite shabby when compared to the other countries' capitals. The original part of the city was built by citizens, not carpenters. As the city expanded, carpenters and builders from all over the continent came and built portions of the city, giving it a unique culture and appearance. All housing is built and paid for by the community.
Points of Interest[]
The Roge[]
The largest building in Rogesash, a community center and meeting place, where the resistance is centered. Also a place for celebrations, concerts, art exhibitions, and theater productions as well. It houses a health center, extra housing, and a small sanctuary led and cared for by the community. It contains underground bunkers, with provisions in case of a siege. The top floor contains the tactical room, also used as a place for sigil casting if powerful magic is to be used.
Rosewood Park[]
At the center of Rogesash, there is a large grassy area used for informal gatherings and often plays host to a large number of children. The citizens of Rogesash have created a volunteer system where help is always present at the park during the day, such that any person that needs assistance or supervision will have a place to go. During the winter, this is moved into the Roge, with several outings to the park each day.
The Study[]
What was once a small building, now a warehouse to house and study ancient tech recovered most often from Cadia, or the Free Lands to the west. It is the only place in the world freely and earnestly studying ancient technology. While they share their findings freely, Cadia and Arsanaig ban and confiscate all information from The Study. Due to a treaty with Cadia, Neian has banned the organized distribution of any literature mentioning methods from The Study, but allows findings to be viewed by the public.
